Stratford Upon Avon

There's a little place where my husband and I love to go.....some where serene where time seems to stand still in the quiet, pretty little English countryside. This place is a tourist attraction, made famous by one of its most famous resident--William Shakespeare.   It is located in Warwickshire, England.  It is a little town in the cotswolds.  My husband and I first went to this lovely little town on our Anniversary in 2006.  Ever since then, we tend to go about once every month....and we never tire of it.

One of the places we like to visit when we visit Stratford-Upon-Avon is the Bancroft Gardens.  It is here that we like to sit near the River Avon on a bench just to breathe in the clean air and watch the swans and barges flow by.  There are many food barges moored on the banks of the River Avon selling ice-cream, soft drinks and hot foods.  We love visiting the Baquette Barge.  This barge sells hot foods and soft-drinks.

One of our favourite haunts when in Stratford-Upon-Avon is the Patisserie Valerie.  This French patisseri was first established in London in 1926.  It offers a wide variety of foods and beverages at great, affordable prices.  There are many restaurants, cafes and bistros in Stratford-Upon-Avon.  There is always something to satisfy everyone's tastebuds at Stratford-Upon-Avon.  Some of the most famous restaurants are the Dirty Duck, a renowned restuarant and pub located on Waterside, Stratford-Upon-Avon...just two minutes away from the infamous Swan Theatre; Sorrentos Resturant for a little taste of Italy, located on Ely Street; and for a more luxurious digning experience, one can book a table on the Countess of Evesham where diners experience fine cuisine while they travel up and down the River Avon.  This restaurant is moored at one of the banks at the Bancroft Garden on Waterside, Stratford-Upon-Avon.

Today we went to Stratford-Upon-Avon to watch the Premiere of the new Harry Potter movie, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows at the Stratford Picture House.  We both enjoyed the movie greatly.  After the movie we had a meal at the McDonald's restaurant by Waterside, near the Bancroft Gardens.
